Tanzanian gay rights activist Maurice Mjomba has been found dead at his house in Dar es Salaam.
Identity Kenya reports that Julius Lumanyika Kyaruzi, the coordinator at the Centre for Human Rights Promotion where Mjomba was a Training Coordinator confirmed Mjomba, 29, had been found dead.
It is believed he could have been dead for some time and the report says there are indications he was murdered. It is not known if his death was motivated by homophobia.
Mjomba was a member of Stay Awake Network Activities, a group which deals sexual health education for men who have sex with men.
SANA said today: “We sadly announce that Moris Mjomba, one of our founding member, a friend and activist, was strangled by unknown person (s) the date of his death has not been confirmed yet. For more information, we will let you know.”
This has got to be the saddest thing, when will human being stop hurting each other. I’ve said time and time again the only difference between straight and gay is the sexual orientation thats it. You should discriminate someone because of their sexual orientation that is so wrong.. Honestly this is one touchy subject and I wish all this crap would end..

Breaking News;Rumor has it that comedian Prince K is throwing in the towel after his European tour.Prince K has decided to end his reign as the top comedian here in Toronto and around the globe.Prince K also won the first Entertainment award for best comedian. Whispers around town say Prince K is thinking of ditching his name and simply be known as Kaleb his government name.He also wants to cut his dreads ….It’s a shame Prince K is a really good comedian and for him to retire at such an early stage will be a loss to the African Entertainment community here in Toronto..We wish Mr Kaleb much success on his future endeavors.
whenever I think of something to do with relationships I always factor in the gender, race and culture, western culture is different from african culture so i tend to get carried away at times with the philosophy of the westerners.i personally would much rather live by that philosophy than the African one especially when it comes to matters of the heart.what prompted me to write all this.someone close to me said .”I like where we are we understand each other.i’m not going to say i love you just to get in your panties especially when I know i don’t mean it!”i could understand where the person was coming from but it got me thinking do men think all women want to hear the i love you words off the bat?an who in their right mind believes that?before you go and chew my head, im not saying men shouldnt say they love someone but seriously i think there should be a time period.i personally can never say those words until i know im ready and i know where i stand with the person.so why do men feel pressured to tell a girl they love them?do things change in a relationship once those words are thrown out?
do girls demand men say those words?and what happens when a man doesn’t say they love you?does it mean they don’t?like i said im baffled that some men will lie to girls to get nookie or whatever the hell it is they getting.but then again don’t use the im not ready to love excuse to be sleeping around with different girls.i know a few guys who use that card so they aren’t obligated to anything, its pure madness and also very selfish,i can understand you telling a woman you are dating and not exclusive than lie you been through a lot so you don’t think you can love again!i for one see no problem in dating( the term dating is to describe a stage in a person’s life when he or she is actively pursuing romantic relationships with different people.)Clearly it’s not wrong why dont people do this a lot before they decide to settle down?do you know how many divorce lawyers would be OUT of jobs?
im not shy to say this but im actively dating right now and I throw that term loosely when an arrangement is no longer conducive it’s allowed to move on to greener pastures.ladies if you worried about being judged remember its you and your happiness that is at stake do you really wanna settle for somebody because you don’t want being labeled a hoe?remember dating doesn’t have to always include sex set your boundaries ,time limits whatever you can do to know the individual and even after doing all that and the person doesn’t suit you its okay dust yourself up and head on to the next one.
I should do this more often but most of my readers have gotten a less intelligent and refuse to be subjected to long essays and just want to see the bright pictures..i would love if we could have an actually debate on this subject under the comment section trust me you can always put in your two cents as anonymous if you fear being identified…
